Introduction

(N’deh) represents the primary corporate arm of the Dene Tha’ First Nation (DTFN), based in northwestern Alberta.  The Dene Tha’ (People Common to the Territory) are divided into three separate communities located in Northwest Alberta—Bushe River, Meander River, and Chateh.  The Dene Tha’ people place a high value on their way of life both from yesterday and today.

N’deh has four primary areas of operation:

  • Energy & Environmental Services – providing a diverse range of contract services to the oil & gas industry with a mandate to include various environmental services
  • Forestry – managing the forestry-related operations to which the Nation has tenure
  • Property Management – the acquisition, maintenance and management of residential and various commercial properties on- and off-reserve
  • Community Enhancement – while not specifically an operational division, the ultimate objective is to utilize a portion of the profits from the other divisions to fund various projects that will enhance the three communities that make-up the Nation.

N’Deh Mission:

To generate profits that can be used to support the well-being of the Dene Tha’ First Nation Members through sustainable best practices that balance Dene Tha’ culture with modern economic development.
